5th Annual Paranormal Summit
at UNO Oct. 23th 2015
Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Paranormal Society will host the 5th Annual Paranormal Summit on Friday, October 23th. The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:00 p.m.) in CPACS room 101. Attendees will hear from a variety of Omaha experts on ghostly and paranormal activity. After the groups talk about their most interesting investigations, our keynote speaker will be Ashley DeBolt. She will be discussing the 1955 unsolved murder investigation of UNO co-ed Carolyn Nevins. After the Summit attendees will be able to go on a live ghost hunt here on campus led by paranormal field investigators! The Paranormal Summit will be dedicated to Veterans at the Stephen Center. Veterans have the opportunity to regain employment, re-establish family relationships, and are able to prepare themselves for a lifetime of success. The UNO Paranormal Society has organized the annual event. There will be a raffle, part of the proceeds of which will fund student scholarships within the paranormal society. “The purpose of UNO Paranormal Society (and this event in particular) is to look at the logical, scientific and rational explanations of the paranormal phenomenon,” said Dave Pares, adjunct professor of geography and meteorology at UNO and faculty advisory for the UNO Paranormal Society. “But, we like to have fun and are open to exploring all kinds of evidence.” The UNO Paranormal Society can be contacted by email, unomahaps@gmail.com. Parking Parking is free on the UNO Campus after 5:00pm on Friday (except in handicapped, labeled, and metered spaces). The best place to park is the parking garage on the east end of the Dodge Street campus.
